Will Dogs Drink Their Own Urine. We think its behavior and that he could of been locked up a lot as a puppy. Though drinking other dogs pee is normal and healthy behavior a dog who is drinking their own pee may be unwell. There are however some popular theories that might explain this unusual and unsavory practice. Has had a stroke.
This is not a sign of abnormality in the dog. Is taking Cephalex twice daily. She is blind and hard of hearing but hearty. There is no evidence or advice which would encourage anybody to drink their own urine. None of them are good signs but some are more worrisome than others. We believe our dog is drinking his own urine dirctly.
Takes Prednisone and Famotadene daily.
Worries about diseases and health problems will pop into your mind as you rush towards him to get him to stop. Occasionally a dog will drink its own urine much to its owners mortification. He should not be scolded for this. If your dog knows urinating in the house is not allowed he may be trying to hide the scene. We cannot be sure but when it happens he throws up and its the color of his pee but mixed with food. We think its behavior and that he could of been locked up a lot as a puppy.
